Who We Are
Effort for Hope is a dedicated organization committed to fighting poverty, improving education, and empowering communities. Inspired by the firsthand experiences of Benjamin and David, working as Deans of students at college level deeply engaged with marginalized groups, students dropouts including children, grannies, and single mothers struggling to pay fees.
Our mission is To inspire a healthy community by restoring hope, nurturing talents, advocating for the less privileged, protecting their rights and sharing God’s Love to enable them live a fulfilled life as intended by God.
Many vulnerable individuals struggle to afford even one meal a day, leading to school dropouts, child labor, chronic illnesses, and elderly conditions affect families. Effort for Hope was founded on the belief that no one should have to face such situation in isolation without intervention.
Our Motivation
Growing up in a community where many children are full of potential but lack the means to realize it, we have witnessed firsthand, how poverty can cut short a child’s dream. Mubala David and Rev. Wabwire Benjamin have witnessed school dropouts among children in our area who face daily struggles simply because their families cannot afford school fees. Having worked together in the same office as Deans of students affairs at a college, students’ stories are unique, but deeply personal and they have inspired us to take action.
The motivation behind establishing this Community-Based Organization is rooted in the belief that every child deserves a chance to learn, grow, and thrive, regardless of their background. By helping children like stay in school, we are not just paying school fees but we are investing in futures, breaking cycles of poverty, and building a stronger, more empowered community.
This CBO aims to mobilize local and external resources, raise awareness, and create sustainable support systems for vulnerable children at all levels. Through education support, mentorship, and community engagement, we hope to bring lasting change, one child at a time.
We believe that when a community comes together to uplift its most vulnerable members, especially its children, real transformation begins.
Our Vision
To ensure a dignified and fulfilled humanity with full potential to glorify God.
